As much as I enjoy reading this serialization (thank you Wonkette!) it makes my stomach hurt. Some of this just hits much too close to home.

Aspects of this story are just TOO damned tangible, grimly echoing bitter realities slashing through lives around me. Terrifyingly enthralling prose.
