As the story develops the characters are taking on depth, and are becoming "people." My only (sarcastic) criticism is that this is put out as fiction. I fear that it is not fiction. It makes a wonderful read regardless. I admire the ability to go back and forth from telling the story and dialogue. I believe that dialogue, as I'm previously mentioned, is particularly difficult writing. Ellis and Steve pull it off with skill and panache. And they tell a great story, fiction or reality. thanks guys!.
“Some with tablecloths!” for the win, no doubt the thin vinyl ones with the nonskid backing and a Chianti bottle with a candle stuck in its neck. So pharmaceutically the CSA will be like Mexico or Italy, fairly civilized countries with more OTC meds and fewer TV ads for cancer and obesity pills.
At this current onerous juncture in history too many aspects of this technically fictional story shadow already treacherous potentials in our tangible reality. Each segment draws me in further as well as compel confrontation regarding just how irrevocably close this republic actually is to backsliding into such confederate, willfully ignorant chaos.
Now during the week-long intervals in between segments I agonize in anticipation of the next!

Here in Canada we have Alberta, and the rest of our country. That’s where our split is happening.

It's been sitting with me all week too. This story is like a scrim that colors how I see current events.
The US may not legally split into two countries, but we already have socially, economically, and legistlatively split. It's just at the state level.
That is just too entirely accurate; hence my reference to treacherous potentials.
Too much of this confederate chaos is already happening in real time.
Thanks, guys. Now I'm so depressed I could eat a cow (Rosie O'Donnell in "A League Of Their Own").
And by the way, "schools' is pronounced "Skew-ells".
The Saved, with Cheryl Zink, its sexy lead singer, broke into, “He is Coming and I Am Ready”
I read that exactly as intended, LOL.
Bloomberg reporting PAB allies are attacking corporations for white bigotry .
"There were more upscale places, too. Some with tablecloths!"
OK ... this one made me snork loud enough to wake the cats.
