So after a whopping year and a half of doing the mommyblog thing, six months of that on a full-time, Rebecca-owns-my-ass basis, I can confidently say that I still feel like Charlie Bucket at the Chocolate Factory. Except that now I also know just how badly the taffy filters can get clogged with Oompa-Loompa hair. But like that nice lady from Delaware, I'm not a witch, I'm YOU. I am more than occasionally gobsmacked that I got elevated from being just one more smartass commenter on this blog to a position where I work twelve hours a day to help bring the funny. It's really been quite a rush, and just think -- it could happen to you someday, too (except it won't because I will systematically undermine anyone who seeks to usurp me. I memorized the
Ha! you followed me over as I followed him over. Then we both gave each other that knowing look and quietly tiptoed back to wonkville as fast as we could, babbling polite nonsense about not seeing a thing
Imma just gonna leave this little cthulu pony here for Doc to work with. Because I can't even.
Dok, I beg to differ. "Sundays With The Christianists" is by far your biggest contribution, at least in my book. No one else is exploring this subject in so much depth; you own the investigation and so you here at Wonkette are the primary source of analysis about it. I'd say that's pretty big. The series is an absolute must-read.
Now about those ponies. They make me laugh my ass off, they really do. They were one of the things that I found so endearing about the site and they played a small but not insignificant part in getting me totally hooked. And this isn't coming from some Brony but from a 60-year old 1960s refugee hippie-dippie social worker. Wonkette graphics are amazing and wonderful and witty as all hell, and that goes double for the ponies. Keep 'em coming. I am no Brony - the only MLP-derived graphics that I like are those that I find right here. I like them a lot.
Your writing is awesome and it is obviously a big contributor to the tone and feel of Wonkette now. I am enjoying this little trip down memory lane and reading all the war stories by a group of amazing veteran Wonketeers. At the same time I am also very appreciative of this current Wonkette and writers, since they are who got me so thoroughly addicted to the site.
Doktor Zoom is the kindest, gentlest, lovingest Rhetorician it has been my pleasure to read.
Sundays with The Christianists was probably the best series ever in terms of in-depth reporting and analysis. I always looked forward to a new installment, as I do with nearly every word that the Good Doktor writes.
The truth behind Dok's Bronyism. It all started out just for shit's and giggles but now he can't give it up. Sure he says he can go without a pony pic, but we all know and understand.
Dok, if this gig becomes old, you could always be an analyst for the Texas State Board of Education and apply your skills to ensure the accuracy of the Jessusy parts of school books.
When...?
DOH! I FELL RIGHT INTO YOUR TRAP

That's better than the other ones I've seen
Mmm, you know, the cheeseheads aren't really made out of cheese, also, too.
As I recall, there may even have been pics.
I got an iphone 5c for Christmas and politely said, "thank you." I got a plush Pinky Pie as well and flipped. the fuck. out.

Late to the party too. Fun to read, and molitov!

Sir, I wish you millions of future words.
THE PONIES STAY OR SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT

They need to bring back Sundays With, seriously.
"It started ironically, I swear, but then I went and watched the show, and now I probably need a 12-step program."
Ah, the ironic/hipster brony is one of the 3 main types. This video featuring John de Lancie may help.https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Those 12-hour days when [...] nobody in politics is doing anything funny or scandalous.
Which day was that? I must have been doing the laundry.
