I'm sure it's technically illegal to beat up someone in Iran too. That law may even be enforced occasionally. Just not too often, or the oppressed groups might become too uppity.
George W Bush managed to take a national debt that was scheduled to be paid off in 10 years and caused a $15 trillion dollar debt. We're at $30 trillion now, and over $8 trillion of that was from Trump. NONE of that needed to happen. They're going to bankrupt us with their tax cuts that will "pay for themselves."
I still laugh that Bush wanted to privatize Social Security right before the biggest downturn in 80 years.
