Only a country as greedy and stupid as America would base massive sectors of important industries on the backs of poorly-paid undocumented workers, and then scandalize those workers for cheap political gain, threatening to deport them. I mean, it's breathtaking, the idiocy and racism involved.
Too bad no one paid any attention to what President Sheinbaum proposed at the G-20, Put 1% of your (and every receiving country's) military budget into social programs in migrating countries for projects that make it possible to stay home. Would be a lot more cost effective than trying to hire yet more CPB, ICE agents, building yet more "detention centers", and deporting people.
The Democrats should offer as an amendment to any bill related to deportations that states that any CEO, CFO, COO and the board of directors of any company that is found to employ undocumented workers must pay the cost of the ICE raid, counsel for the workers for their immigration proceedings, the cost of their deportation, and face a minimum 1 year sentence in federal prison.
I bet your immigration problem disappears after that.
