I fully support this action by the Trump campaign. In fact, I think they should cancel ad purchases elsewhere and spend all of their campaign money on TV ads in places Trump has no chance of winning: D.C., L.A., Chicago, and of course, NYC. And while they are at it, maybe buy some ads in Puerto Rico, which is clearly a crucial swing state for presidential elections. That is clearly the best way the Trump campaign could possibly spend their money.
Of course, buying ads in New York is quite expensive, so the Trump campaign should free up resources by dissolving their ground-game and get-out-the-vote efforts in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina.
