Roberta Flack's vocal performance of The First Time is the single most gorgeous solo performance that I've ever heard. As a sometimes singer myself, it holds place as non plus ultra. I would love to cover it but why? And how could I or anyone even come close to delivering something of equal substance and beauty? Can't be done.

I threw out all the spartan office trappings I found there and repainted the place with pink pastels with light blue trim. I installed a nice stereo system equipped with playlists of smooth jazz mood music. I then brought in a set of sofas covered in rich Corinthian Leather slathered in baby oil. All the wall art featured mostly nude 19th century Parisian sex workers reclining on extremely ample furniture.
I also placed an order to replace those sofas every six weeks. I paid for those replacements in advance. JD's boss may be busy canceling everything Biden did. But JD will not be cancelling that advance order for those sofas.
But I did not count on JD's 'refractory period' being as short as it seems to be.
Oh well. At least I had fun blowing a big hole in his office budget before he showed up.
