Racist Michigan Lady Unable To Get Town On Board With Her Dream To Keep It White
Residents now hoping for a Jean Cramer-free town.
Residents of Marysville, Michigan, were horrified this week to discover that Jean Cramer, a woman running for City Council, harbors some truly bananapants racist views. During a candidate's forum on Thursday evening, Cramer was asked if the town ought to do more to attract foreign-born citizens and, uh, she really just let it all hang out:
"My suggestion, recommendation: Keep Marysville a white community as much as possible," she said. After the entire audience gasped, she followed that right up with "Seriously, in other words no foreign-born, no foreign people because of what, in our past, we've experienced it's better to have ... simply American-born. Put it that way and no foreigners. No."
Since then, several members of the community, including the other City Council candidates, have been very clear and insistent about the fact that this lunatic does not represent them. Kathy Hayman, Marysville's Mayor Pro Tem, comes from a diverse family and said she takes Jean Cramer's bullshit personally:
"I don't even know that I can talk yet, I'm so upset and shocked. My father was a hundred percent Syrian, and they owned the Lynwood Bar. It was a grocery store at that time. So basically, what you've said is that my father and his family had no business to be in this community," she said, recalling her late father Joseph Johns, who served 55 years as an elected Marysville official. The council meeting room, where Thursday's forum was held, is named for him.
"My son-in-law is a black man and I have bi-racial grandchildren," she told Cramer. "And I take this very personally what you've said, and I know that there's nothing I can say that's going to change your mind. ... We just need to have more kindness — that's it."
Cramer, naturally, maintained that Hayman's entire family is "wrong," because god created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Eve.
"As long as, how can I put this? What Kathy Hayman doesn't know is that her family is in the wrong," she said. "(A) husband and wife need to be the same race. Same thing with kids. That's how it's been from the beginning of, how can I say, when God created the heaven and the earth. He created Adam and Eve at the same time. But as far as me being against blacks, no I'm not."
Later, wearing what appears to be the very same wig my sister and I used to play with in our Nonnie's attic, Cramer was interviewed on her doorstep, where she shared her views on interracial marriage, Canadians, and so much more.

The reporters here do an excellent job of making Cramer look like the fool she is. They drag her so hard but with such subtlety that she can't even tell it's happening and just keeps saying increasingly ridiculous things. It's perfect . Kudos to all of them.
Well, if Marysville doesn't work out for her, maybe Jean Cramer can hook up with that Craig Cobb fellow who tried to have a whites-only town a few years ago (though he did later find out he was part black, so she may not approve).

She's a shitty person, but no need for transphobic insults.
As a biracial person (Mexican/Native mother and white father), what does she think should happen to mixed children?
