Rudy Giuliani: Hey, Did You Ever Notice Obama's Not One Of Us? If You Know What I Mean?

News

Apparently tired of being associated with competent mayoring on 9/11 and then never shutting up about it, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani seems determined to reframe his legacy. Why he'd decide that acting like the Second Coming of Lester Maddox is a bit of a mystery, though. At a private dinner for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Wednesday, Giuliani shared his suspicion that Barack Obama doesn't really love America because he's a weirdo foreigner. Giuliani was careful to note that he only pointed this out because he cares.

“I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani said during the dinner at the 21 Club, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy in midtown Manhattan. “He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.”

Look, he knows it's a terrible thing to say, and if the very fate of the nation itself weren't at risk, he'd probably just keep mum about it. But did you ever notice that this Obama fellow doesn't look like any other president, you know, in the complexion-type area? And that he was raised ... well, not like you and me, that's for certain. Yr Wonkette would like to congratulate Mr. Giuliani for suppressing the urge to visibly shudder at the mere thought of how that man was raised.

Giuliani added that maybe, just maybe, we can find a presidential candidate who actually loves America, unlike the exotic strange man who is so very, very unlike us. Surely such a person can still be found, like maybe that nice beady-eyed cheesehead a few seats away? There is still hope for America, Giuliani said:

“[With] all our flaws we’re the most exceptional country in the world. I’m looking for a presidential candidate who can express that, do that and carry it out."

We're not exactly certain how someone would go about "carrying out" the task of American Exceptionalism, which is generally considered a noun rather than a verb, but we have a feeling it involves not being such a moulinyan.
