Russians Pull the Old "Cone of Silence" Trick on Rice

MSNBC:

Intentionally or not, the Russians fed out audio of Thursday's closed lunch meeting between Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, revealing a fractious exchange over the wording of an official Group of Eight statement on Iraq.

The argument -- Lavrov wanted the statement to condemn the Iraqi government, Rice didn't -- doesn't actually sound that interesting, but when we hear that Condi was getting all feisty, interrupting Sergey and cutting him off, well, we're interested. When they say the audio was "fed out," does that mean someone recorded it? Will they please send it to us or mash it up with "Sunday Bloody Sunday" or do something with it?

(Also: Our money's on "intentionally.")
