Nothing says "Woohoo, we lost!" like a quality shirt from BlueStateShirts.com (advertising on this very site, at least until we decided to mock their product). Well, except maybe a nice Dukakis pin. We don't know which shirt looks more pathetic -- the one with "all" 19 blue states, or the one with just D.C. -- but it's not like anyone needed any help remembering how much of the country loves Jesus.

The idea seems to be to wear your state -- or all the Kerry states -- around to show off how enlightened you are. We don't really recommend trying this in, say, Oklahoma. More to the point, what's with "blue and proud" as a slogan? Colors as a symbol of group pride... Are these things for liberals... or just for gays? -- "Joe Klein"
