Somebody Get L. Ron Romney a Prop Horse!

Teddy Roosevelt rode his to Cuba to start a war with Spain. Ronald Reagan had one in Santa Barbara. Bill Richardson has one now. George Allen had one too, until he cut off its head and stuffed it in some black family's mailbox.

The horse is one of the finest Republican and/or Western political props in American history. Nothing says "I am riding a horse" like being photographed riding a horse. So if Mitt Romney expects to win the GOP nomination, dude needs to get a horse. But if Mitt does get a horse, he'll also be fulfilling Joseph Smith's mystical White Horse Prophecy (especially if the horse is white). The Salt Lake Tribune reports:

In the latter days, the story goes, the U.S. Constitution will hang by a thread and a Mormon will ride in on a metaphorical white horse to save it.
The 2008 election has officially turned into a movie about hobbits.

Romney candidacy has resurrected last days prophecy of Mormon saving the Constitution [Salt Lake Tribune]
