The "Ethics" of Lobbying

The family that obsessively plays video games together has kids that never move away from home.Hey, did you see that story last week about how 60 percent of Americans want the government to regulate video games? Well, it turns out that the Entertainment Software Association saw it before that, when lobbying giant Hill & Knowlton tried to use it to unsuccessfully pitch them as a lobbying client. When they lost the bid, H&K simply promoted the hell out of that research to try to make the lives of their competitors and non-client more miserable... I mean, to show their "thought leadership" on the issue. Lesson learned: take H&K's bid or they'll fuck with you for free. [The Examiner, Washington Post]
