Sarah Palin's Son Just Got Arrested For Assaulting A Woman. Again.

All this week, Sarah Palin has been very active on Twitter, fiercely defending Brett Kavanaugh, a man accused of violently assaulting a woman. She has had many, many words for how badly she feels for him, and all other conservatives "falsely accused" of "anything."

However, while she may have spent her week defending a man accused of assaulting a woman, her son has spent at least part of his... assaulting a woman. Track Palin was arrested for domestic violence against a woman at his residence on Friday night. This is far from the first time this has happened. Palin was arrested in 2016 for punching his girlfriend in the face, his ex-wife has accused him of being both physically and verbally abusive, and he's also been arrested for assaulting his own father.

Palin is being charged with fourth-degree domestic violence, interfering with the reporting of a domestic violence crime, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Troopers responded at about 11:30 p.m. Friday to a West Angela Drive home in Wasilla for a report of a disturbance, according to an online dispatch.
"Investigation revealed [Track Palin] assaulted an acquaintance at his residence," troopers wrote. "When the acquaintance attempted to call authorities, he prevented her by taking away her phone. While being placed under arrest, Palin physically resisted troopers."

Palin has said that her son suffers from PTSD, and suggested that this may be a reason for his violent outbursts. Other veterans have pushed back against this, suggesting that saying things like that stigmatizes veterans with PTSD, and also that their PTSD has never made them punch a woman. I don't know. If Track Palin does have PTSD, I feel terribly for him. But regardless of that, it is worth considering that maybe, just maybe, this is not a guy who should be around women. Or the guns he is famously so fond of. Perhaps he should just stay away from those things altogether.

As you may recall, the last time Track assaulted a woman, Palin -- while speaking at a rally for Donald Trump -- suggested that it was Obama's fault for not loving the troops enough:

But my son, like so many others, they come back a bit different, they come back hardened, they come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen and every other member of the military, so sacrificially have given to this country, and that starts from the top, it's a shame that our military personnel even have to wonder, if they have to question if they're respected anymore. It starts from the top, the question, though, that comes from our own president, where they have to look at him and wonder: do you know what we go through, do you know what we're trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us!

Well, Obama is no longer president -- so what's the theory gonna be now? Will she suddenly realize that her son's violent streak is, perhaps, not quite as dependent on the president as she had previously imagined? My guess is she'll find a way to blame Colin Kaepernick.
