As part of their mission to Make America Great Again, Donald Trump supporters have taken it upon themselves to go well beyond just keeping an eye on the polls to prevent Voter Fraud. Now they're making sure no shiftless Negroes try to get away with stealing the free Veterans Day meals offered by mediocre restaurant chains, because did Thomas Jefferson die on the cross so just anyone with a DD214 could claim they'd served in the Army? Hell no!

To observe Kurt Vonnegut's Birthday Veterans Day Friday, Chili's in Cedar Hill, Texas, offered free meals to all veterans. Ernest Walker, 47, who served stateside in the 25th Infantry Division during the late 1980s, put on his old uniform and went to the restaurant with his service dog, Barack. There he ordered his free meal, tipped the waitress, and then prepared to take his food home in a to-go box since he had to go pick up his wife. As Walker explained in a pair of Facebook posts, he was accosted by a vigilante Restaurant Fraud Preventer: Walker said an elderly gent in a Trump t-shirt first interrogated him about what unit he'd served in, then said there was no way Walker could have been a soldier, since the Trump guy said he'd been in the Army in Germany during World War II, and there weren't any blacks over there.

Apparently the election of Donald Trump rescinded Harry Truman's 1948 executive order desegregating the military, since the guy complained to the manager, who showed up and demanded to see Walker's military ID, telling Walker the other customer had said Walker

was not a real soldier because I had my hat on indoors. Other guests heard him. He asked for my military ID, I was calm, and provided it to him. I also provided him with my DD214 which is my discharge paperwork.

Yes, but was it his long-form DD214? And had it been verified by Joe Arpaio? After the "Show Me Your Papers" gambit failed, the manager then decided Walker's service dog wasn't a real service dog, because the customer in the Trump t-shirt had said it wasn't, duh. Walker's clearly not blind, now is he? The dog was wearing a red "service dog" vest and special Service Dog tags, but any bum can probably get those forged for more than the cost of a Chili's meal, so the manager grabbed Walker's meal and told him to leave the restaurant. Mr. Walker used his phone to record the final portion of the interaction -- probably an Obamaphone, given to all welfare cheats who pretend to be veterans and forge their military IDs:

After Walker posted the video and it went viral, many began calling for the manager to be fired, even though he was only trying to protect the integrity of Chili's Veterans Day Special. Yes, this is where the Trump Flying Monkey Brigade will exclaim the whole thing's a hoax, since the man in the Trump shirt is never seen in the video, and maybe the manager had a perfectly legitimate reason for throwing Walker out, denying he'd had his military ID, and refusing to look at the dog's certification. Also, there are slight discrepancies between the two Facebook stories, so Internet Detectives can proclaim it's all made up.

Chili's apologized in a statement, and said it was trying to contact Walker to extend a personal apology.

"Our goal is to make every guest feel special and unfortunately we fell short on a day where we serve more than 180,000 free meals as a small token to honor our veterans and active military for their service, hence these actions do not reflect the beliefs of our brand," the statement said. "We are taking this very seriously and the leaders in our company are actively involved with the goal of making it right."

Mr. Walker told the Dallas Morning News that as of Sunday afternoon, he hadn't yet been contacted by the restaurant chain. He also believes the election may have had something to do with his treatment by the restaurant manager:

"I do believe that the election has changed the hearts and changed the motives of people so much so that he believed in his heart and mind after talking to the Trump supporter that I was stealing food," Walker said.

Mr. Walker explained on Facebook he is on dialysis, and his dog is trained to help monitor his blood pressure, but he didn't provide a note from his doctor or the dog's training program, so the random stranger in the restaurant probably is a better judge of whether that's a real service dog or not. It's almost as if Harry Reid had it right when he said Trump's election has "emboldened the forces of hate and bigotry." Get ready for Baskin-Robbins to start demanding proof of citizenship and fingerprints in addition to a photo ID for black folks trying to scam a free birthday cone.

Or maybe the problem is that our country has become so PC. It's sad. You know, in the old days, someone who caused trouble like that would have been taken out on a stretcher.
