Fearing the total lack of news that always comes on this darkest of American weeks, we briefly considered picking some random non-Christian country that would continue the Business of Government until Washington was repopulated after New Year's Day. Bangladesh, maybe ... Bangladesh Week!
But it was a pretty big concept that would've involved ... oh, a newsroom or something. And a staff, definitely a staff. So we forgot about it. But the Washington Post has made the Dream Come True! Here's the current front page picture at WaPo.com, featuring some guys in super-cool hats made out of Yak Fur or something. They are doing some governing and keeping it real!
