White House Outsources Energy Aide to Exxon

Until last week, Philip A. Cooney provided editorial climate-control for President Bush's Council on Environmental Quality. Now, however, it's Exxon Mobil, not taxpayers, who will pay him to downplay the relationship between greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. Corporate influence being what it is these days, we think that almost qualifies as major reform.
