White Lady Tomi Lahren SO MAD Jesse Williams Won't Thank Her For Freeing The Slaves

This past weekend, Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams gave a very lovely and impassioned speech about racism, police violence, Black Lives Matter and justice. It is very good and you should watch it!

In response, the significantly less lovely Tomi Lahren, who I guess hosts some kind of freaky Ayran pride kinda show on Glenn Beck's The Blaze Network, had a full-on conniption fit. A very, very disturbing conniption fit in which she just started screaming about how badly black people have treated cops, Republicans, and Tomi Lahren, personally.

She actually started out the segment saying this:

"Well the BET awards were last night, notably they were very BLACK. OH! But can I say that, what with my whiteness and all? Well too damn bad! QUESTION! Was this a celebration of Black entertainment or an opportunity to complain about the plight of wealthy black actors and musicians? Curious, because I saw a lot of talent on that stage but at the same time, a whole lot of victimhood. OH, and police bashing, that too."

She then played a clip of Jesse Williams talking about Tamir Rice, and then went off on some rant about how there's no such thing as an unarmed black man (including, I guess Tamir Rice -- whom she denies was shot in cold blood in the middle of the day) because they could take weapons from the police maybe? I don't know, it's honestly hard to tell where she was going with that.

Then, she actually lashed out at Williams and all the other black people for failing to be grateful to her and all the other white Republicans for freeing the slaves. No, really. That happened!

"Equal Rights? Please tell me Mr. Williams what rights black people don't have? Also, white people? We do, in fact, have a record of critique of your oppression! In fact, do you know how many of our ancestors fought in the Civil War to free your ancestors? Bloodiest war in the United States history was over what was right and it was largely white people fighting in it. In fact it was white Southern DEMOCRATS who fought for, not against slavery."

(Tomi Lahren forgot to remember that the Civil War was not about slavery, no, not at all; it was about white people's states rights to own slaves!)

After that, she got on the topic about how she WILL NOT be forced to apologize for her whiteness:

"I'm sorry Jesse but I won't be apologizing for my whiteness, just as you don't need to apologize for your blackness! It's not white people working to divide America! IT'S YOU! YOU AND BEYONCÉ AND JADA PINKETT SMITH AND AL SHARPTON!"

It was at this point that her head popped right off her neck and flew away still screaming about how entitled black people are, and how they need to stop being victims and instead consider how they have brutally victimized her by refusing to just pretend racism doesn't exist and oppression doesn't exist, so she can continue pretending everything is great.

This is a real person, who exists, and gets paid to talk for a living. I'd critique it a little more, but I think she kind of speaks for herself, doesn't she? I will say this, however -- no black person has ever demanded I "apologize" for being white, but this Tomi Lahren character sure as hell makes me want to.
