The World Bank executive board has decided, as the rest of the nation has, that dragging out this Wolfowitz girlfriend scandal is just a lot more entertaining and fun than this poverty and loans and helping the developing world shit.
The board canceled a meeting on climate change, clearing Thursday and Friday to deliberate on Wolfowitz.
That's right, there is no business getting done at the bank at all until every single corner of the story has been "deliberated over" and dragged into the papers with dueling lawyer quotes.
If we had any faith in the World Bank or its ability to carry out its ostensible mission we'd be outraged. Robert McNamera must be spinning in his grave.
