Masses of people in Wisconsin have been peacefully protesting for weeks now, because of their governor’s decision to take away worker’s rights for no good reason; not a single protester in Madison haseven been arrested. But that hasn’t stopped Fox News from trying to convict them all. Witness this hilarious report from Fox’s Mike Tobin on Sunday, pretending a whole bunch of protesters were going to get violent, get shot by tear gas, and get arrested. These people are from the Midwest, so they’re spending their time at the protest kindly knitting with each other, but that won’t stop this Fox guy from saying they “hit” him. RIGHT-WING BLOGOSPHERE POWER RANGERS, IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME!

Why won’t these protesters let Tobin do his reporting? He just wants to pretend these protesters are violent communist thugs who will all soon be thrown in prison for trying to murder him. Truth is one viewpoint, and pretending is another viewpoint. It’s a diversity of viewpoints, and these protesters hate diversities of viewpoints because they are viewpoint racists.

Magically, this “news” report was wrong: No protesters have been arrested, even though Tobin was trying to provoke them. But if you turn on Fox News, you will learn the real truth: that Fox just ordered 11 episodes of a new soap opera about violent Wisconsin protester terrorists. [The Blaze]

Does Tobin have a master's degree, too?

DixieWrecked February 28, 2011 at 3:19 pm

He has a masters in Debate.

mereoblivion February 28, 2011 at 3:23 pm

Nope, just a bator's.

DashboardBuddha February 28, 2011 at 3:48 pm

I understand he has his degree in fishery management. He's a Master baiter.

WhatTheHeck February 28, 2011 at 4:18 pm

But obviously not a master debater.

DashboardBuddha February 28, 2011 at 4:35 pm

However, he is a master hater.

MrsBiggTime February 28, 2011 at 4:27 pm

Innocent typo. He has a martyr's degree.

Angry_Marmot February 28, 2011 at 5:43 pm

What kind of adolescence did Tobin and his peers have, to think this kind of behavior is manly or humane? It's like watching Casablanca and wanting to be Major Strasser or Ugarte when you grow up. Or Christmas Story and you want to be Grover Dill.

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:01 pm

HEY!! Lets get to the real issue. How does someone this ugly get on TV?

MittsHairHelmet February 28, 2011 at 3:10 pm

They should hire the hired goons from the Joe Miller campaign, have them arrest a few protesters, then report the arrests on Fox News to prove how much trouble the protesters are causing.

Redhead February 28, 2011 at 4:43 pm

Isn't that pretty much the plan that fake-Koch and Walker were hashing out on the phone?

MittsHairHelmet February 28, 2011 at 6:37 pm

I don't know. He takes phone calls all the time.

Its interesting how Faux news has reported all of the tactical orders of protesters. My favorite is make a fist when a police officer attempts to handcuff you and then relax your hand so the handcuffs are looser. I guess he doesn't realize that when a person is handcuffed the officer specificall holds their hand so they can't form a fist.

Frankly the stupidity of this reporter makes me want to bitch slap him. Fucking retard.

SmutBoffin February 28, 2011 at 3:22 pm

Also interesting how he uses the terms 'civility' and 'vitriol', which he probably learned from Obama after the Phoenix massacre.

LesBontemps February 28, 2011 at 3:26 pm

"Why do they express such vitriol towards the media?"

Simply because the protesters accurately identify Fux News as douchebags is no reflection on "the media" as a whole. Also, asshole, too.

BaldarTFlagass February 28, 2011 at 3:46 pm

"Media" has 5 letters. "Agent provocateur" has a lot more. Pretty easy to see the difference.

GOPCrusher February 28, 2011 at 5:20 pm

They were chanting "Fox News Lies". So where's the vitriol toward the media?

PublicLuxury February 28, 2011 at 3:26 pm

Teachers, nurses and office personnel are noted for their violent outbursts. Have you EVER pissed off a teacher? They call your home! They make you miss recess! They are vicious hateful communists. They write "DO OVER!" on papers, in RED, proof they are commies. They have even failed people. For shame.

cheaphits February 28, 2011 at 6:08 pm

hagajim February 28, 2011 at 3:27 pm

If the protesters were as amped up as the Faux News teabaggers were at their Faux protests, Mike Tobin would be a slimy squirt of dickball jizz on the capitol steps. In fact, that may well be a better use for him.

"Slimy squirt of dickball jizz." Kudos!
But hey, why such vitriol?

SorosBot February 28, 2011 at 3:27 pm

If Tobin really wants to get the Wisconsinites to attack him, he should wear a Bears or Vikings jersey.

PsycWench February 28, 2011 at 3:32 pm

It’s a diversity of viewpoints, and these protesters hate diversities of viewpoints because they are viewpoint racists.
Beautiful, but also close to the truth. I remember when Virginia Military Institute (a public school) was fighting having to admit women and the local right-wingers trotted the idea that single-male institutions increased diversity of institutions, therefore admitting women to VMI=hating diversity.
It doesn't look topical, but it sort of is.

MarshallBanana February 28, 2011 at 3:49 pm

It's the most blitheringly idiotic piece of rhetorical mindfuckery I've ever read, is what it is. "Increased diversity of institutions." Yeah, guys, and while you're at that, make sure all of the hate groups are represented equally! For the sake of DIVERSITY!

Angry_Marmot February 28, 2011 at 5:58 pm

If you see yourself as a victim (as right-wingers do), then any bullying you do is justified as self-defense.

philpjfry February 28, 2011 at 3:33 pm

This is absolutely the worst "reporting" I have ever seen. Do these cocksuckers really think we are dumb enough to take them seriously? Oh wait, it is Fox after all.

MarshallBanana February 28, 2011 at 3:50 pm

There are many, many, many, MANY people who take them dead seriously. After all, they are the only people who report The Truth, right? Not like the rest of the commie-run lamestream media.

Gopherit February 28, 2011 at 3:35 pm

Mike Tobin isn't familiar with the Teamsters, is he? Good luck on that trip home, Mike. It would be awful if a truck lost it's brakes and ran you off the road into a freshly laid foundation for a stadium.

doxastic February 28, 2011 at 3:59 pm

I wouldn't be surprised if Tobin were himself an AFTRA member. Hannity and O'Reilly are, but they are very familiar with the "fuck you, I've got mine" technique.

genxr February 28, 2011 at 4:03 pm

That's exactly what happened, except a special forces blog commenter showed up yelling semper fi semper fi, and exercised his 2nd amendment solutions, thus saving America from the communists. Then the ghost of Reagan gave him a medal.

MrsBiggTime February 28, 2011 at 3:35 pm

Lara Logan's got nothing on Tobin – I mean, she was only sexually assaulted; Tobin got yelled at, for Christ's sake. And speaking of Christ, got to admit it takes a certain level of chutzpah for a Fux News reporter to show up in Madison, but that First Amendment ain't gonna defend itself. So between Tobin's warzone coverage and Gretchen's crotchshots, these are some brave defenders of the flame. Now, let's get back to Charlie Sheen, OK?

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:21 pm

I think someone should mention how ugly this Tobin guy is. Just once.

Plus, Charlie's thinnin'.

Unless he was hit by a three year old girl, there would be more of a reaction than a monotone: "I've been hit, some guy just hit me." Fucking pathetic.

GOPCrusher February 28, 2011 at 5:25 pm

doxastic February 28, 2011 at 3:37 pm

Exactly what in the reporting have they not taken into consideration? That Fox News doesn't lie?

(Putting on my dry academic speech-person hat, I'm not very sympathetic to the shout-down tactic. It just seemingly bolsters and gives evidence for the breathless, hysterical Fox coverage. I know, it's cathartic and speaks truth to power–but media coverage always offers an opportunity to persuade that should be used to the fullest, even if news editors distort the message and viewers are committed to their predisposed beliefs).

OneDollarJuana February 28, 2011 at 4:34 pm

I agree. It would be better to have a sign that reads" Fox News is owned by A-rabs". It's at least partly the truth, and it would be understandable to Fox viewers.

Come on, if you are going to expect FOX News to actually report on factual news all of the sudden, the whole network would have to go black.

And FOX does have a point, if the protesters were real Americans, they wouldn't' have to shout at FOX News as they would have brought their guns like good 'Baggers.

DerrickWildcat February 28, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Even as an employee of Fox he isn't very punch worthy.

tconrad February 28, 2011 at 4:02 pm

I'mnottouchingyou, not touching you, not….quite…touching….

mereoblivion February 28, 2011 at 4:07 pm

True, though I drove a quartet of 4th-graders to school one year and they were way more entertaining than this dork-nob.

Ducksworthy February 28, 2011 at 4:11 pm

Tobin suffers brutal sexual assault at the hands of the ladies knitting circle in the state capitol. Ever had a knitting needle shoved up your urethra? Hope he has.

Hatrabbit February 28, 2011 at 4:15 pm

I can't imagine anybody givin' that guy 'the business'. Eeewwww. TMI

Keep your weird teacher fantasies to yourself, Bud.

ingloriousbytch February 28, 2011 at 4:16 pm

"Vitriol?" "Harassment?" "Utter hate?" I've seen more vitriol around my dinner table at Thanksgiving. What a pussy.

GOPCrusher February 28, 2011 at 4:23 pm

Well, got to stick to the meme that all liberals and union thugs are blood thirsty, fetus killing, hate mongerers that only think of sexing up the white women.

LesBontemps February 28, 2011 at 4:30 pm

Mom, is that you?

__kth__ February 28, 2011 at 4:17 pm

"I've been hit" means you've been shot, or possibly hit by a car, or otherwise gravely harmed. That is, unless you are a Fox News drama queen.

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:33 pm

Spit a few teeth or FTFU.

fuflans February 28, 2011 at 4:19 pm

i always thought foxes were synonomous with cunning and trickery and gorgeous coats.

now i think they must be the beavis and buttheads of the animal kingdom.

mereoblivion February 28, 2011 at 4:23 pm

Where did she hit you?
Um, in the kitchen.

Barbara_i February 28, 2011 at 4:29 pm

I like his advice on how to make a fist when you are handcuffed so that the cuffs will be slack. Can't you just turn and whisper your "safe word" to the cop and he will just take them off for you? What safe word do ya'll use when you are feeling more kinks than vanilla?

Radiotherapy February 28, 2011 at 5:54 pm

Green Balloons!

FlownOver February 28, 2011 at 6:12 pm

I prefer "OW!! Stop that right goddam now or so help me, I'll rip off your head and shove it up your ass!!"

It's a little long for a safe word, but it sure gets the point across.

Dudleydidwrong February 28, 2011 at 10:52 pm

Donuts!

GOPCrusher February 28, 2011 at 4:29 pm

Vitriol and hate against the media? Maybe Current TV should send in Keith Olbermann? But I can guarantee, Faux Noise wouldn't cover the reception he would get.

Callyson February 28, 2011 at 4:30 pm

For those who (understandably) just can't bring themselves to watch the FOX clip:
The supposed "hit" is *not* on camera. For all we know, someone accidentally bumped into Tobin, who promptly called it a "hit."
Mostly, the clip consists of Tobin and Geraldo Rivera feeling sorry for themselves because FOX is not a popular network among the protesters. I'd say "cry me a river." but then Tobin would accuse me of trying to drown him or something.

onemoretime79 February 28, 2011 at 5:40 pm

Convenient wasn't it, how the camera cut away right before the "See? That guy just hit me!" line. Oh noes, we couldn't see, or else I might have laughed harder.

Also the word "hate" is said 3 times. By none of the protestors. Plaintive mewling re "why such vitriol against the media?" doesn't make sense. Everyone is well aware they ain't the real media.

It's stupidly amusing to send your correspondents to Madison and pretend your are Cooper in Cairo.

glamourdammerung February 28, 2011 at 4:36 pm

Is this not the same crowd that has that Michelle Obama "Whitey" tape?

Ducksworthy February 28, 2011 at 4:49 pm

It this suffering fool a descendant of the Ex Priest in Blood Meridian who gets shot in the neck and ends up crawling through the boneyard while the Judge and the Idiot purse him? Or the same guy?

CatsInBags2 February 28, 2011 at 4:49 pm

Althouse and her husband also getting in on the provocation. Lots of victims out there it appears: http://althouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/meade-is-new...

Tundra Grifter February 28, 2011 at 4:52 pm

Do we have the right to join a trade union? Or is that just a nice thing to have, granted to us by a state government that can take it away at any time?

While it isn't in the US Constitution, it is in the United Nations Declaration of Universal Human Rights:

Article 23
1.Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.
2.Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.
3.Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.
4.Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.

As a member nation, isn't the United States obligated to support that Declaration?

genxr February 28, 2011 at 5:05 pm

Support the UN declaration of human rights? That's like asking teabaggers if they want to live under sharia law.

emmelemm February 28, 2011 at 5:46 pm

Doesn't the United Nations Declaration also make health care a universal right? I seem to recall reading about that at one point…

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:36 pm

Are you tryin' to talk sense, Boy. Whats the matter with you?

SaintRond February 28, 2011 at 4:57 pm

Remember that wonderful fellow in Los Angeles who bit that Tea Bagger's finger off?

I wonder what happened to him.

onemoretime79 February 28, 2011 at 5:54 pm

Uh, after he teh teabagger lost the fight, and his finger, he also lost the mood to punch a liberal? Also. He said teabagger was covered by Medicare so…and the liberal has never been found, so it all turned out well for everyone.
http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/politics/Thems-...

glamourdammerung February 28, 2011 at 6:48 pm

You mean the teabagger that repeatedly punched someone and then cried that the mean person bit the end of their finger off for no reason (other than being an Islamonazicommie)?

SaintRond February 28, 2011 at 7:31 pm

Yes, that one. I think it should be depicted in an oil painting, like Washington crossing the Potomac or something. Make it look very heroic.

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:37 pm

He's hungry again.

user-of-owls February 28, 2011 at 11:20 pm

Rabies.

chascates February 28, 2011 at 5:12 pm

And Tobin told Famous Journalist Geraldo Rivera:

One thing I think should make clear – the people coming after us from every live shot here, these people hate,” Tobin said. “These are people who don’t respect diverse viewpoints. In fact, they’re so afraid I’ll present a diverse viewpoint, that’s why they try to heckle me and shut down every live shot. They’ve made it clear, that what they want to make it harder for me to do my job. They are proud of that when they disrupt a live shot, when they really trample over the First Amendment rights or the First Amendment’s obligations of a reporter.

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:38 pm

Did he mention how ugly he is?

SorosBot February 28, 2011 at 5:15 pm

Now Walker is going full fascist and deciding to ignore the whole freedoms of speech and assembly thing:
http://blog.aflcio.org/2011/02/28/walker-welding-...

"As we speak, Gov. Scott Walker & the Senate R’s are literally having the windows of the capital welded shut to keep people from passing food into the building to the people inside."

finallyhappy February 28, 2011 at 7:20 pm

so then the protesters need to get out and weld the doors shut when Walker and the GOP lackeys go inside. No one will pass food to them, that's for sure.

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:40 pm

Where'd he get the money for that?

petehammer February 28, 2011 at 5:28 pm

So weird… you'd think they'd have footage of it… what with the CAMERA right there. This isn't radio.

DaRooster February 28, 2011 at 5:43 pm

Yep, just drink Drano… same effect.

gef05 February 28, 2011 at 5:57 pm

"Fox News’ Mike Tobin Says He Was Attacked By Wisconsin Protester"

And?

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:40 pm

And he's still disfigured.

donner_froh February 28, 2011 at 6:19 pm

I didn't see any reporters being harassed–just some right wing Fox apparatchik whining about being hit (bumped into?) pretending he is desegregating lunch counters in Alabama in 1959 or something.

LionHeartSoyDog February 28, 2011 at 6:24 pm

Punk-ass lying snitch, to boot. Literally.

bobesper February 28, 2011 at 6:32 pm

I'm not saying that Tobin's lying, because we all know how fare and unbalanced Faux News is, but I think there is absolute proof that he wasn't assaulted; he wasn't crying like thos other two bitches, Beck and Boner, so we know he didn't get hit.

Monsieur_Grumpe February 28, 2011 at 6:42 pm

Aw man up sissy boy.

Slim_Pickins February 28, 2011 at 6:53 pm

Since police in Wisconsin are in the same boat as the teachers, it will be hard to get them to bash heads. The governor wants to call out the National Guard, but they're all in Afghanistan.

Dr_pangloss February 28, 2011 at 7:14 pm

OMG We've been gently jostled by a small crowd, So rude! "They have been taught to resist" No it sounds more like common sense instructions on if you are arrested how to make the experience less painful and hazardous. "If you have asthma have you're inhailer on hand" that really sounds like hard core anarcist tactics 101 to me. (Makes jerking off motion while the camera is no present.)

Natl_Indecency_Cmdr February 28, 2011 at 8:07 pm

i was literally about 12 feet from this goon and didn't see him. i saw his camera. one of the pornographic instigators started yelling 'fox news lies' and so we, being lemmings, but a specific variety of lemmings (badger lemmings?) all chanted along. honestly i did not even realize this clown was so close. but, yes, i was one of those voices you hear yelling 'fox news lies'. (hey ma! i made it on the teevee!)

this worthless piece of shit was not hit. if someone did hit him they were probably reaching for cookies.

this was an incredibly emotional moment. fucking fox news never ceases to amaze me. 'vitriol towards media'. that's like being a total fucking lying asshole to everyone, everywhere, all the time and everyone you know hates you and you ask 'why do you hate people?' we don't hate people, fuckwit. just you. fuck you. fucking bunch of fucking fucks.

SorosBot February 28, 2011 at 11:18 pm

May I suggest using certain pages from this famous civil Complaint to read from if you guys can be heard by Fox News again?
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/file/oreilly-falafel...

Natl_Indecency_Cmdr February 28, 2011 at 8:12 pm

the next time i see fox here i'm just going to get everyone to whistle. these people feed off our hatred for them and they are obviously using it against us. instead of yelling 'fox news lies' i will try to get everyone to whistle nonchalantly.

tire iron.

i'm not saying anything will be done w/ anything. i'm just saying.

tire iron.

also, i am saying:

asshole.

that's all i'm saying.

[whistles nonchalantly]

Gleem_McShineys February 28, 2011 at 8:25 pm

Man, that must have been some hit he took, because I couldn't even see him behind his massively swollen pussy!

Natl_Indecency_Cmdr February 28, 2011 at 8:45 pm

"the hate you get from these demonstrators, you can see it in their faces"

yeah we were pissed off. pissed off that the cops wouldn't let us in. that they were taking people out. (or, "strongly suggesting" people leave)

"you can see the passion"

yes, passion. i had tears running down my cheeks. so did many others. there's a thing called "gratitude".

"i got the business from a teacher yesterday"

well, that's neither here nor there, mitch. if i ever see your fucking little fucking lying fucking rat fucking face in my fucking town again it will be 'mitch toolbin: open for business'.

MilwaukeeKent February 28, 2011 at 9:32 pm

Dude back at the studio is right, this terrible hostility toward the press, tsk, tsk. In fact all the footage I saw on other networks and sites also had hostile protesters surrounding them, yelling "Fox Lies!".
Well okay that didn't happen, but it would have been nice if it did.

buford2k10 February 28, 2011 at 9:44 pm

Fox News what???????? They lie????

Just kidding.

OhNoGuy February 28, 2011 at 10:11 pm

The ugliest man on TV AND a pussy. Beat that 2fer.

real_dc_native February 28, 2011 at 10:31 pm

Too bad the governor didn't invite the National Guard to the protest. Then the demonstrators could knit cozies for their rifle barrels decorated with flowers and butterflies.

mrblifil March 1, 2011 at 1:54 am

Nothing selective about his application of teh journalisms, nosireebob…

jim89048 March 1, 2011 at 2:45 am
Negropolis March 1, 2011 at 5:42 am

Kinds of odd they didn't mention the sex of the person he was blowing/eating out, huh? That's usually their favorite salacious detail.

glamourdammerung March 1, 2011 at 6:24 am

It was listed on their local news site. It was a guy.

Negropolis March 1, 2011 at 7:56 am

Oooo, scandalous. Is he a Republican, anyone know?

jim89048 March 1, 2011 at 11:11 am

If he is, faux will never run with it.

glamourdammerung March 1, 2011 at 1:13 pm

He ran as an independent, which means he was not a teabagger.

Even if he might indeed teabag.

Negropolis March 1, 2011 at 11:46 pm

And independent is usually a closet Republican, or a Republican with committment issues, anyway, so same difference.
