Girl Scouts Will Get Along Just Fine Without Transgender-Hating Bigot Bucks, Thank You

As you are all aware, the Girl Scouts is a super badass organization. Its leadership is SO liberal, the Scouts are turning all of America's girls into militant man-hating lesbian vegans with bitchin' abortion skills. And it costs money to indoctrinate all those young ladies! The Girl Scouts of Western Washington was very excited to get a $100,000 donation recently, to fund things like financial assistance for little girls whose families can't afford to send them to camp. Stuff like that. But then the donor woke up one day with a spiked dildo up his/her ass and sent another note to the group specifying that this money was under no circumstances to be used to help any gross transgenders:

In late May, as news of Caitlyn Jenner’s transition was blowing up your Facebook news feed, [Girl Scouts of Western Washington CEO Megan Ferland] received a letter from the donor with a brief request: Please guarantee that our gift will not be used to support transgender girls. If you can’t, please return the money.

So Ferland thought about it and decided she didn't want that creep's bigot bucks anyway, because fuck you is why:

In a short letter, she informed the donor that she would, in fact, be returning the money. Her reasoning was simple. “Girl Scouts is for every girl,” she says. “And every girl should have the opportunity to be a Girl Scout if she wants to.”

INCLUDING transgender girls. And really, how would that have worked anyway? Send all the girls to camp, but specify that trans girls need to pay their own way, while the others get a free ride? That sounds like a Transgender Tax, and we're pretty sure the Supreme Court ruled that was unconstitutional in like 1975 or something. (No? Well, surely they'll get around to it someday.)

Seattle Met reports that Ferland has a fairly consistent history of badassing up the place in defense of trans people in the Girl Scouts. In 2012, when she worked for the organization in Colorado, she stepped up for a 7-year-old trans girl who was rejected by a Girl Scout troop, issuing a proclamation that said the Girl Scouts love all girls, even transgenders, and then she dropped the mic.

Losing the $100K really sucked, though, as it was almost a full third of their financial assistance budget for the year, according to an IndieGogo campaign set up to help them recoup the funds. The good news is that, as of this very moment, they've raised $98,185, in ONE DAY, and donations show no signs of stopping. In fact, the number has changed so drastically during the writing of this post that we simply refuse to reload the fucking thing anymore, and you will have to click and see how many non-bigot bucks they have raised in real time.

So hey, unknown bigot donor, you can rest easy knowing that your precious dollars won't be used to help any gross transgenders, but you can have NIGHTMARES about all the fun those kids are going to have, with MORE money than your original donation, and it all happened because YOU'RE A FUCKIN' DICK.
