You're thinking of the Judiciary branch of the goverment. That is the federal court system. DoJ is not a part it. DoJ is headed by the Attorney General, who is appointed by the president and is a member of the president's cabinet.
I tend to agree, because its tougher to track people on twitter. With FB and Whatsapp, the basic id mechanism is far more open to abuse. With FB you are basically naming yourself in a public commons. With Whatsapp you are tied to a mobile number.. There are ways around both apps in terms of making them work for you, but why bother when you have twitter right there.. That said, twitter is also open to abuse, and counter-insurgency, and can be exploited in a number of not very intuitive, yet effective ways.
I think you are right. A lot of people love them some twitter. The reasons you mention above are why I use FB although my mom still refuses to learn how.. (She is being obstinate, she is plenty savvy.)
I don't think those pics necessarily make him not creepy. Only one (Franken) is the "from behind" thing and he doesn't look real happy. It just rolled through my FB feed and I remembered seeing it. I like BIden ok but kind of hope this makes him reconsider the whole thing.
I grudgingly use FB as it serves as a convenient family hub, its the social media the largest number of my middle-aged social circle has mastered, and several groups I belong to use it almost exclusively for communication. That said, I find it far less useful than Twitter, which I probably spend more time on per day. I think Twitter matches Tom Lehrer's description of life as being like a sewer: what you get out of it depends on what you put into it.
