I've read in right wing websites that liberals try to rewrite history. Not only are republicans in Texas actually doing it, but they are doing it with the consent of the people (well most of them).
I thought it was Farrah Fawcett who cost them the nat'l champeenship in '69. (Wait. They won in '69 and '70, n'est ce pas?) Either way, Darrell Royal spent the rest of his life not buying his own beer at any bar into which he ventured in Austin and the surrounding areas.
History, especially for Texans, is an uncomfortable subject. It's kind of like thinking about your parents having sex. You know they did, but....eewwww!
The Texas State Historical Association has covered the history of slavery in Texas very thoroughly. It's worth a read and it should definitely be taught in Texas schools.

He was busy whitewashing the cannonballs when Santa Anna showed up...
I doubt it. I suspect the GQP to make that a selling point for reviving it, tho.

Well, in all honesty, the smoked brisket queso kit from HEB is a high point.
Also too, bathrooms.
You'd be surprised at how many Texans already think that.
Sometime in the not to distant future "book" will be an archaic word. Wood is too valuable. https://www.vox.com/2241071...
