The Democratic National Committee announced that it has chosen Charlotte, N.C., for its 2012 presidential nominating convention the week of Sept. 3. The announcement that Charlotte had bested St. Louis, Cleveland and Minneapolis to become the host city first came in an email from First Lady Michelle Obama to DNC members.
My cynicism is only tempered by my laziness. My inner cynic (which beat up my inner child, btw) wants to design t-shirts with vaguely racist sayings and confederate flags and sell them via cafe press...make a lot of money off of the teabaggers, I bet. But my laziness (which is on speaking terms with karma) says, "meh...why bother?"
