Well, that half-hearted celebration sure was premature. The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has rescinded Monday's federal ruling that had found part of Texas's terrible abortion law unconstitutional, restoring restrictions that will have the effect of closing most of the state's clinics.
Remember this decision next time some fire bagger starts whining how Obama is no different than Bush or that the Dems are no different than the Republicans. For all his faults, Obama doesn't nominate ideological zealots to the judiciary. The GOP is deathly afraid to compete on a level playing field so they appoint ideologues when in power and fight tooth and nail against any and all nominations when they're not. Could be a clever marketing campaign. If Trojan repackaged some condoms as size 'Hung Like A Horse', then the Texas rednecks might be more willing to use them. It would also 'confirm' their ideas about everything being bigger and better in Texas.
