I always tell people to think of my dad when I tell it! He would have been a great Wonkette commenter. Smartest person I ever knew, salty as fuck, and utterly fearless.
I remember when Le Duc Tho told war criminal Henry Kissinger that he would stop bombing NYC and Washington if we would stop bombing Ha Noi and Hai Phong. Kissinger was so pissed that he walked away from the talks for weeks.
Well of course the manosphere idiots didn't go after you; you were on their side.
Are you kidding me right now? Really? Because I've been covering that shit for eight years now. That is a really shitty thing to say.
The Nevada caucus? Guess what? It was filmed. Everyone who claimed people were throwing chairs was proven to be an absolute liar. So no, I don't believe anything they say about what happened there.
Bernie did not set any such tone. I'm sorry, but he didn't. Are there assholes who supported him? Sure! There are also assholes who support lots of other candidates, including whoever it is you support. Asking him to monitor the internet is insane, and the reason it was asked of him is because it's impossible.
He also did not treat women like shit, women are pretty much running his campaign. Women who, by the way, have been subjected to *near constant* sexist, racist, Islamophobic attacks, often from white men who think they have a free pass to be as terrible as they want because they don't like Bernie Sanders. Who by the way, have said some really delightful things to me as well. And I don't even run around being a big Sanders booster on social media or anything. I literally JUST advocate for specific issues I care about.
And again! I was willing to give you all the benefit of the doubt until "the KHIVE" turned around and tried to pull the exact same shit with Elizabeth Warren. Who — surprise! — supported many of the same things Sanders did. What an incredible coincidence! Then she was no good either, and neither was anyone who supported her. I realized then that there was zero chance that there would EVER be a candidate that supported single payer and these other kinds of reforms that would be acceptable to that crowd, and I stopped giving a shit about literally anything they said.
If the thing that makes Bernie Sanders terrible is that everyone who supports him is a bad person, and I support him, wouldn't it then follow that if I then supported someone you found acceptable, that they would then be terrible? Do you think Barbara Smith, the woman who literally helped coin the term "identity politics," loves racism and misogyny? Do AOC, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib love those things? How about Bobby Seale and Chuck D? Do you hope they all "see the light?" Because you're so much smarter about racism and misogyny than they are? Really? I don't think so.
Over the last 21 years, he has defined the parameters of a certain kind of Democrat. The kind who voted for, and swooned over, George W. Bush. The kind who finds Republicans basically more respectable, "principled," and moral (and certainly more manly) than liberals. Who thinks Americans are basically repulsed by most left-wing policies and says so, over and over again, until people believe it must be true. Who believes that the only way to accomplish progressive goals is by never, ever bringing them up or trying to do anything to achieve them. Who does not think very much of women at all and kind of wishes we would all just leave the politicking to the menfolk and make him a sandwich, while assuring him we know he's not as bad as Actual Republicans.
If you want to talk about someone whose voice grates on the nerves, why not talk about The Weasel Headed One?
Oh that was so true, i mean my sorority sisters would go on and on about how sexy Donald Rumsfeld was and how they wanted to . . .
Oh, i just can't its too ridiculous
Oh, dear GOD, that's good!!!!
I always tell people to think of my dad when I tell it! He would have been a great Wonkette commenter. Smartest person I ever knew, salty as fuck, and utterly fearless.
I will run the predictable risk of saying "ditto".
A Idiot Retires! Thank you, god.
More's the pity.

Does this mean that I don't have to hear about Tip O'neill anymore, that would be good.
"Can you imagine Putin getting elected here?"
No need to imagine anymore...
Fuck Tweety.
My thought exactly, many, many times before I put my husband in charge of muting the tv whenever Matthews was on.
Maybe RT?

So...he is a republican
:hugs: Just cause
He was the only survivor because he neglected to inform the other two that he, the pilot, was bailing out.
