I live in a D-contolled town in a D-controlled county and state, and a significant number of the locals are faux progressives, fake liberals, and looney leftists™

The LAST thing I would ever do is give money to politicians, and certainly not to them.

That’s the part I don’t get. What is it about their jobs that made them wrap themselves in poison like Trump? That said, I’m starting to come around to the idea that they’re not afraid of him at all and like being total assholes.

you know repeatedly doing something and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity, at the very least obtusely naive...this woman should never have ever been in politics but yeah she beat the R, and yeah she has voted on a few things that actually passed, but for the most part her obstructionism is what is going to do the party in for at least a decade if not longer and she is so full of herself and so wrapped up in her own ego that she will never see the light until she loses reelection but hell she has what 5 years to do whatever the hell she wants between now and then.

I think that has happened with Manchin, and probably Sinema but she is so full of her own bullshit that she honestly believes her own mumbo jumbo crap...she also thinks she will be re-elected which is hilarious. But sadly she is in power until 2025.

Campaign money from whom is the best question...cause I can't see regular Dems giving her money. Wonder if Putin is sweet talkin' her like he does Tulsi?

Sinema's logic is as bad as Manchin's when he insists there are 10 "good, patriotic republicans" in the Senate. The likelihood of finding 10 patriotic republican senators is the same as republicans changing their behavior, zero.

Which, begs the question, why don't Manchin and Sinema pull their heads out of their respective asses and work the facts that are in evidence?

The Senate is not working. There are 50 Republican Senators using the filibuster to prevent the Senate from working. Therefore: Eliminate the filibuster.

I know there are several steps missing, but no matter how many more you put in, the conclusion is the same.

You could substitute, "Eliminate the Republicans," but that would require even more steps, some of which might violate commenting rules.

Make no mistake, if McConnell returns to the majority in the Senate, first thing he will do is kill the filibuster without a second thought. I'm so thoroughly disgusted by Manchin and Sinema's willful ignorance. Manchin I think is getting off on the "power" he's wielding at the moment as the 50th vote, but Sinema just strikes me as a stupid asshole.

I loathe that odious turtle, but McConnell has the balls that Manchin and Sinemasshole lack.

McChinless loves the rules just fine the way they are. He can push through the only two things he cares about, tax cuts for the wealthy and further packing the courts with rightwing hacks, with a simple majority. He doesn't actually give a rat's ass about anything else.

Besides, why repeal popular legislation when he can just let the courts gut them? That is the whole point in stacking the courts.
