Do not underestimate the power of Woke Grandmas. Looks like more trouble for TrumpCare: The AARP, the American Hospital Association, the American Medical Association, and even the insurance industry's trade group have all come out against the mess, because it's not really a healthcare plan, it's a bucket of half-digested talking points designed to fulfill eight years of promising to repeal the ACA and not much more. It's almost as if the people who are most involved in delivering health care -- and those most affected by the Republican effort to kill the ACA -- have been paying attention. Let's see who the R's are pissing off with this dog's breakfast (with all apologies to dogs):
Yes, and what about all the children who have cancer, brain tumors, etc.? What did they do to "deserve" it? What about all the babies born with terrible defects requiring surgery and/or years of specialized care? The weren't all born to crack addicts. Sometimes bad things happen to very good people. Best wishes to your relatives, BTW.
President Kennedy had Addison's Disease. I suppose you know that, as it's often the only thing most people know about the problem. Good luck managing yours. I hope you always have the healthcare you need.
Just for the record, I don't know a single person who lost their doctor because of Obamacare. And living in Arizona retiree-heaven with a 90-year-old camped out in my living room, I know a LOT of people who have many doctors.
Aw, you weren't stupid, just trying to make a reasoned economic decision. But yeah, I am always in disbelief when someone blithely says "Hey, I'm healthy." All it takes is one slip or misstep and there's a broken ankle, or you're diagnosed unexpectedly with something, or as you point out, someone plows into your car on the freeway.
These people imagine they'll be young, rich and healthy their entire lives. They have zero empathy, so they can't envision any circumstances in which they might suffer a catastrophic illness or injury, go broke or (gasp) get old.
Being an impoverished AARP member with multiple chronic medical conditions all I can do is sit back, as my parents and grandparents used to do when I was young and knew everything, and tell them "you'll learn". Hopefully when they do they won't be suffering at the hands of people as contemptible as themselves.
Company's change insurance providers all the damn time. Prior to the ACA I had occasions where I had to switch doctors because after January 1st my doctor was no longer "in network". That kind of thing just happens with insurance sometimes. But after the ACA it's all "Thanks Obama, you liar".
Mitch McConnell ain't a young. What's his excuse? Does he think he's going to be gone before the whole country goes up in flames, lying in state on a bed of his donor's money?
Now, I despise tweets - I mean, they're fine for him, since he *can* tell us all he knows in 140 chars, but... that would be perfect - it'd *really* frost his balls.
I'm so glad to hear her Addison's is well managed.

trick question. They have no reflections.
He is always, only, talking about himself. Always. His entire world consists of just himself.
Oh of course he wears a corset. But it would make a good trending tweet #trumpcorset

Signs of Fascism: Corporate and business power is protected. Labor power is suppressed. Disdain for intellectuals and the arts.

Thanks ! I was wondering who came up with that apt moniker.
