Just heard ICE is forcing detainees to take DNA tests so they can search existing records to find relatives. So if you did 23 and Me or Ancestry ory Heritage, the government is tracking you.
I used to work with an older guy who had a stroke. He was fortunate and was only out of work for a few months AND got most of the use of his left side back. But I also noticed a bit of crotchedyness after the stroke. He was constantly cranky, complaining and less empathetic. I'm not sure if it was the neurological damage or if it was from the trauma of the stroke and recovery. Fetterman reminds me of that, especially the less empathetic part.
That's the thing...NO ONE ever becomes MORE intelligent and MORE compassionate after brain damage. Empathy and abstract thinking are HIGHER functions. The LAST things that show up in sophisticated mammalian brain development and the FIRST to go away after any frontal lobe damage no matter what form that damage comes in. My uncle had a stroke. He too became cranky and had less empathy. But then he never had much, he just let the quiet parts out loud. I wonder if, not unlike my uncle, this is not who Fetterman always was, and he just hid it better.
