I've seen the "educational" materials they supply at those crisis centers. They do in fact have a tiny set of plastic/rubber models showing what the "baby" looks like at 6 weeks. It is just like you say, tiny fingers, big doe eyes. Total bullshit.

Frankly, it shouldn't even be called out in the list of covered services and should be counted as a general outpatient procedure. There is no need to create a separate line item for it.
Part of this issue is that "women's health" is treated differently than men's by the insurance companies. We are the "other" because we aren't men. The other part of the issue is that in the eyes of many lawmakers, we are breeding stock.
