lawlessness occurs when there is no one willing to do the somewhat tough job of enforcing laws. this is where we find ourselves. congressional leaders on both sides obviously have no concern for the law. so what is their concern? as always, my answer begins with 'follow the money.' nanci is completely compromised by the fact that she is a 1% and cares more about her reputation among that group than anything else. schumer is the same. so are the rest of "the leadership." obviously the turtle and his crew aren't interested in law. they have built their entire careers on finding ways to break it, for money.
it falls to the people now, and that's really unfortunate. the generation that will bring change is only now starting to emerge, which means oldsters like me will not live to see the change that is needed for this country to survive. and it may not, even if we fill the house with AOCs. but at this point the undeniable fact is that the big names in the Democrat Party (i did that on purpose) are perfectly comfortable to watch Putin's bitches burn the Constitution and shit on any written law they don't feel like obeying. just so long as they are still beloved by their richest donors, and will get nice gigs after their terms are up, they don't give a fuck.

Unfortunately, when Republicans control the presidency, the House, and the Supreme Court, it's a bit difficult to force them to follow the law. So far there have been no political consequences for them for being lawless dicks, either, so why should they stop?
