There are large immigrant communities in Albany, Rochester (not upstate, Western), Hudson (barely upstate), and Buffalo (Canada). Believe it or not, there is diversity and culture outside of New York City. Even Muslims! I know, shocking.4. There are plenty of people upstate who have - get ready for it - met people of color who were not just there to do lawn work. 5. A lot of otherwise rational upstaters were critical of Hillary going back to her days as a senator, mainly because she didn't have NY roots. Not that Lazio was a better choice, but there's a fair amount of antipathy for "city" types in places like Washington county, and she never really cared to show the rest of the state she was interested in it. 6. And, finally, what is your point? That once you went outside of the city and everything you saw was Kentuckabama?
