I just heard that good news and almost wrecked the car in my excitement, LOL!!!!!!

I hope they do. And I hope they get shut down with a quickness.

Okay then, Senator Cruz. Let's get on it and apply that reasoning to what you claim to believe are the important issues of the day. You should pass a federal law1)Overturning all state laws restricting reproductive or endocrine health care, BUT permitting state legislators to offer "thoughts and prayers" to stop women and queer people from getting health care.

2)Raising the estate tax to 100% over $5 million, but offering thoughts and prayers to the children of billionaires.

3)Ending all monetary government subsidies of oil and coal companies, but providing thoughts and prayers to the poor oppressed fossil fuel companies.

give our kids transitioning drugs against the will of the parentsAre there any legislators in the U.S. in either party who have actually proposed doing that? It seems pretty clear that in this case, Democrats support parental rights, while Republicans do not.

Arkansas and Florida are in the process of passing legislation that will stop even adults from using a bathroom that doesn't correspond to their sex at birth. Why would I visit those states? I can't hold it for more than 4-5 hours. I'm sure most of the south will follow their lead.

Anyone who says "... and I turned out fine" almost certainly did not turn out fine.

All of the states passing these laws are full of evil, small-minded assholes who are tormenting kids for political points.

I wonder if these heinous laws became more palatable to the rabid base since COVID. They've always been fine passing laws and practicing medicine without a license when it came to abortion, but now they are attacking other kinds of medical care that are also none of their business. I just wonder if all of the anti-doctor/anti-science/anti-medicine rhetoric on the right since COVID is making it easier for them to straight up ignore doctors and experts on this topic. They'd be attacking trans people no matter what, but I wonder if this avenue of attack on their healthcare specifically would have gone over so well before COVID.

OMG! That would be horrible. I would have to leave the country. If I had to detransition I would probably give serious thought to unaliving myself. There is no way I go back.

Same here, and I have also found it to be quite deleterious to my health, both physical and mental, at times. Hard to strike that balance between staying informed and doom scrolling without any benefit.

What do they mean, Someone will have to atone? Is that pro parents or anti trans?

Is like to see the American Medical Association get a spine and advocate for their patients. Why the hell do we have to live in a country where we can't get the 'standard of care' for trans folks or abortions for people who need them?

If they can control who has access to healthcare, they hold the power of life and death over us.

Legally, gender is the sole group that can be legally discriminated against. The fight for the ERA was to eliminate second class citizenship. Women never got support from LGBTQIA.
