Let us kick off this long week of resisting the urge to cock-punch every conservative within a thousand-mile-radius with a quick summary of the absurd sights in our fair nation’s capital city on Sunday, where hundreds of dipwads gathered at the World War II memorial to protest it being closed due to a government shutdown that had been demanded, initiated and cheered on by these same dipwads and the febrile-brained poop gibbons they elected to represent them in Congress. Will you <headdesk> until your brain bears a striking resemblance to the lesion-festooned lump of Jell-O that resides within the skull of the average NFL veteran? Perhaps you should take a moment to fetch a nice soft pillow before you read on.
Yes it will. And, somewhat tangentially, this reminds me of one of my favorite memories. Back in 1966 or 67, or so, an NCAA Hoop Regional was held in Madison. I was able to get a student ticket. One of the first-round (I think) matchups was Marquette versus Kentucky. This was still the era of all-white Kentucky basketball teams.
It was quite a good game, and Marquette won. And then the Marquette band played, not their fight song, but the Battle Hymn of the Republic. The crowd went crazy (I said Madison, right?). It&#039;s a nice memory.
Re: grammar-nazi. My sense is that a bit of grammar-naziism is acceptable, as long as it is funny. Your remark about passing on the flag of traitors would definitely qualify. I liked it.
Here&#039;s a win that the conservatards might not cherish quite so much: <a href="http:\/\/www.livescience.com\/40370-government-shutdown-closes-nuclear-labs.html" target="_blank">Government Shutdown Closes Nation&#039;s Nuclear Labs </a>
They changed the Twinkie <strike>recipe</strike> formula? Somebody should tell Robert Morrow about that - he&#039;s sure to have a reasonable explanation.
I find the traitor flag offensive. But here&#039;s a deal: Amend the Constitution giving Congress the power to regulate flags. They could ban flag burning. The could ban flying (or owning!) a Confederate flag or a Nazi flag.
Then they&#039;d be howling about the only TWO Amendments that matter.
Not a bad trend, but getting them up to the 14th is gonna take forever.
Used &#039;em for soup already.
It&#039;s the kind of difference that Morrow would definitely notice - especially if you point it out to him.
just ask those thanksgiving turkeys.

Disclaimer: What the fuck do I know?
<i>little more than a hypocritical temper tantrum</i>
OK, so it&#039;s not a new habit, then.
Grifter Twin powers *Activate*!
This rally is way better than going to see the museums and memorials in DC. I&#039;d drop acid to enjoy it even more.

Maybe &#039;ImpeachTheKenyanUsurper&#039; was a poor password choice.

How short-sighted can they be? You have no idea.
<i>&quot; The Tea Party seems to think this whole shebang gives them momentum going into this week....&quot;</i>
The &quot;Ted-mentum&quot; will last until 9:31am ET after the stock market opens and people vote with their dollars.

How many times can you kill irony?
