A blue flag. Is he conveying sadness? Or that only "blue states" need his subtle under God message? Art can also be defined by what's missing. The flag is cropped so all the stars and stripes are outside the image. Is he saying America is incomplete?

"With liberty and justice for all". Is that irony? He has liberty while Trayvon has no justice.

He's maker (of pictures) AND a taker (of lives).

"Picasso of Pensacola" may be alluringly alliterative, but a quick look at a map will show you that the two (P'cola and Sanford) are 450 miles apart. That is roughly the same distance as from Wonkette to Politico.

How about the Delacroix of Deltona instead? Or the Warhol of Winter Park?

Looks like 3-4 "collectors" doing the bidding.

Unlikely that the lucky winner will want the public ignomony, so the hideous thing will vanish into some wingnut's bunker, the money will go to the lawyers, and Georgie no doubt will churn out more inkjet-on-canvas schlocksterpieces.

Well, he's no W, that's for sure.

Perhaps he needs to invade a country or crash an economy for inspiration.

I think he'll find the market saturated after he finishes his Statue of Liberty and Crying Eagle numbers.

Q for any graphics gurus: two filters, or three? (Just wondering if it took two minutes, or three.)

Trayvon's family should file that civil suit. But not right away . . . If these "art collectors" knew that the proceeds were going to the Martin family, the bidding would top out at $50.

There’s a way this could be more pathetic but it’s not coming immediately to mind.

Think of it as a step in the right direction . . . and not at taxpayer expense.

Knowing the darker side of eBay, there could very welll be a bunch of sham bids jacking the price way up and then when it comes time to pay, ole Georgie boy will be left holding the bag.
