Yes, there are those "very few," but the "vegan snob" stereotype is 99% fiction, created by Republican-adjacent advertisers (including the whole damned Fox Channel) for the entertainment of their consumers. They did not create this stereotype out of nothing, but out of the image that they see in the mirror. These are people who cannot imagine why anybody should believe in anything (or pretend to believe in anything) unless it is to justify feeling superior to non-believers.
I do not have the moral fortitude and personal discipline to go vegan, but I try to eat lower on the food chain. The reason is not to feel superior to anybody or to put anybody down, but to take a little responsibility for my own privilege and to "live simply so that others might simply live."
This is an ethic totally foreign to the MAGA crowd.
I live a block away from a beef cattle pasture. I talked to a group of cattlewomen at an Earth Day event, extolling their virtues, how good their industry is for the land, etc. They couldn't tell me why their products cost $20/lb at the store. Judging by my surroundings, there's no shortage of cattle. The land leases haven't kept pace with the price of everything else. They pay less than $3 a month to pasture a cow/calf pair. They all drive new $100K+ trucks, which I guess is just another tax-deductible cost of doing business.
Weird how all the departments Dumphole's Sick-O-Fans are running are finding so much fraudy fraud fraud that they are having to squeeze down the $$ spigots before all the taxpayer dollars get spent on The Poors, yet they are hard at work finding new and creative ways to spend spend spend OUR FUCKING MONEYS on their own frauds, wastes, and wars.
