Interesting. I don't think a Tabs gif has ever inspired such a high ratio of poetry and song lyrics as this one. 😂

Fearsome? I don't think so,

That doesn't seem that real.

Who could be afraid of

A yawning baby seal?

Darkness darkness, be my pillow

Take my head and let me sleep

In the coolness of my shadow

In the silence of my dream

Trick or treat

Smell my flippers

Instead of sweets

I’d like some kippers

The New York Fishwrap keeps gaslighting more and more openly.

The Editor-inserted headline: "Graham Breaks With Trump Over Russia Sanctions Law Her Brother Championed"

The actual lede, as written: "Senator Darline Graham, Republican of South Carolina, gingerly criticized President Trump on Saturday for exempting Russia from a sanctions law that was championed by and named after her late brother, Lindsey."

Kind of some distance between two immediately adjacent sentences that purport to describe the very same act, isn't there? Infomercials for timeshares were less obviously fraudy.

In a bit of good news, It seems Democrats in general had a really REALLy good quarter in fundraising, and it’s forcing Team Evil to spend even more heavily than expected in places you wouldn’t expect. Ken Paxton’s campaign has cost an eye-watering $212M all by itself.

I'll wait until Musk is streaming, not spending $on him.

speaking of starlink issues (and i still believe we should nationalize it), sherrod brown reports that his facebook somehow, somehow failed during his big fundraising push which should have raised beaucoup bucks so that he could get his final tv ads in place. there has to be something we can do with that fucker as well.

If they have a strong case, then they should be able to tell us what specific crime they think she's committed, right? And explain why they didn't charge her in 2019 when they first investigated her immigration papers? Or why it was so important that they do it right before the election?

I figure Elmo and Trump conspired against Ukraine. Occam's razor and all. They cast doubt to confuse but it's common sense. I've always thought that it was a worrying decision to depend on Starlink and that traitor/Hague worthy criminal white elephant, Elmo.

Any nurses? I still have a cough from being sick but only the cough. Flu and COVID were negative. I'm supposed to go on Weds for flu and COVID vaccines. Is this ok to do if you already have a cough?

Sister Artemis's avatar

I am not a nurse, but have had the post-cold cough almost every time. At least 3 times it was "walking pneumonia" (you have it, but are sorta functioning ok) and at least once (diagnosed once, but probably other times too) had post-illness bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchial tubes).

Pardon all the parenthetical statements (I overuse them, but whatever) - just a nudge to check for followup problems. Pneumonia = antibiotics, and bronchitis = inhaler and maybe a course of prednizone or other steroid treatment.

I had lingering coughs after chest colds for decades, and only in the last 10 years figured out the culprits.
