So Airbnb is all like, Hey city of New York, you should totally charge our hosts the same bed tax you would charge hotels, and then use that money for nice homeless stuff! And people are like "frownyface with mad eyes phurble argle murp!" And also, "sniff, those costs are just going to get passed on to the consumer anyway, waah" and that is true! All Airbnb hosts will be like "fifteen percent, fuckers, #payup." How is that even faaaaaair?
New York also expects you to fess up and pay sales tax on all the stuff you haul in from New Jersey malls. I don't think that happens much, either.
Editrix: You can stay on my couch* free and I'll give 15% to the city. _________________________________ * Couch may not be subject to "bed tax".

It's like craigs list for travellers but with less murdering.
Weird picture title.
Damnit. I want my money back then!!
What La_Cieca says below. It has saved me hundreds, maybe thousands in travel in Europe. You pay less than in a hotel, plus, you have a kitchen.
