Well, you know statistics. There are also websites with stats showing that men are safer drivers, although this one looked to me a bit more reliable than others - partly because the insurance industry is very self-protective, and I think less likely to skew stats for cultural reasons. One of those rare occasions when a purely financial bias is helpful.

I suppose if skill and safety in driving were measured only by rate of fatalities, the (possible) discrepancy in arrests would be worrisome. But I'm going to surmise that the reckless driving and DUI numbers represent nonfatal crashes with injuries, severe damage to property, and/or high risk of potential fatality. So I'm not convinced that men are being stopped for recklessness and DUI at an unwarranted rate. Culturally speaking, I'd be interested to see a racial breakdown.
