I'm mostly thinking of his time as Congressional Ball-Buster. And he was an effective Democrat, just not necessarily an effective President: he led the hell out of the party.
Perhaps, but that doesn't mean that the red end of the crazy spectrum should be able to control whether their constituents are able to vote. With any luck, they'll be able to use that blatant racism as an organizing tool, secure their districts' ability to participate and sanity will prevail. :-)
My son brought a letter home from a class mate of his today. Mind you, they are ten.The letter says that some people think slavery was bad but since they had no clean water and food in Africa they were better off and it was sure a shame that all those white boys on both sides had to die for slavery when it was really good. And that it was only my son's opinion if he disagreed.Ten. Fucking. Years. Old.I just can't even anymore. No more compromise. No more debate with these fucknuts. They are not Christians, they are not Americans, they may not even be human any longer. They are scum of the earth and it is high time we deported them all back to whatever Euro country they claim their roots are from.
