Sorry, fell in a Poe hole. Gotta recalibrate my snark meter. Not sure what a Kossack is.

So why won't he answer la Pierson's question? He has nothing to lose.

If the bill doesn't get through the house in the next week and a half, can Speaker Kick Ass just vote on it after New Years?

Contacted by St. Peter at her mansion in heaven, Ida B. Wells said, "Tell me again WHAT year is it down there?!"

I guess you can call me a literal idiot, then, because I can't quite catch the point you're making

No, because after New Year's it will be a new session of Congress, meaning everything is reset. That's why Mitch McUseless tried to push a funding resolution through this week.

What, no Ranch soda? You gotta have a drink for it to be a full meal deal.

Along with at least one good macaroni and cheese dish at Senate potlucks, this is one of the upsides of having three black senators all at once.

What a deliciously perfect line that I could never get away with. (I did laugh, though.)

Why, that's just crazy talk!

I've checked the website where they show the blast radius for various nuclear devices for your city. Using the center of downtown as ground zero, only the very biggest, baddest motherfuckers would immediately take me out. All the rest would consign me to a slow death from radiation poisoning. That sucks.

What's really ironic is that if these hate filled losers were correct, it wouldn't make any sense for them to adopt the language of the modern day civil rights movement, since the civil rights movement would have been an utter failure and Jim Crow would still be going strong for well over a hundred years.

Do they have separate people doing the outlining and coloring like comic books?

So there's a section of Twitter that seems concerned about this bill as a sideways attempt to be anti protesters, because during Occupy Oakland and BLM protesters were charged with "lynching" while trying to help fellow activists not get arrested? (I am a little fuzzy on their argument)

Anyone know more / if their argument has merit?

Grimscribe's avatar

A federal anti-lynching bill passes the senate. And here it is only -- checks watch -- the end of 2018.
