Mr. Scooter drove by later that afternoon and said the line of cars was quite long.

Mattis' comments are what happens when public officials read the Constitution and take it seriously.

My dad was in WWll and he hated McArtrhur. He called him a horses ass that cared more about getting photographed than his men.

It feels weird to point this out, but Hitler also wrote his own book.

Mattis was supposed to be one of those who provided that leadership during those 3 years, so I guess he's self-aware?

It's actually part of military tradition not to trash talk the commander in chief, even if he's an asshole. I get why he's remained silent, until Trump called out the military on civilians.

If I was in charge of the USA, after Trump is ousted, Miss Lindsey needs to be taken out and horsewhipped in the public square (with votes) for treason. I loathe him almost as much as I loathe Trump.

A lot of them are no longer Republicans. I know George Will quit the party a few years ago. Mattis basically said he's voting for Biden. George Conway may still be a Republican, but you know he hates Trump as much as we do.

From what I've read about him, he was never a fan of Trump's. I think he was one of those people who thought he'd work with Trump so he could keep an eye on him, but he had zero respect for him, and didn't make that a secret in the Pentagon.

I think you may be thinking of General Kelly, who went into private life, and I think he went to work for a company that builds immigrant camps and detains them...for PROFIT!
