Oh, the meter and rhyme work, such a pleasure; so often they don't.

I'm sort of going through one of my periodic depressed periods, made worse by the fact that I am usually a very cheerful person, but I see the bounding little feathersaur and the majestic Thornton, and I feel somehow better about the whole thing.

It's the oxytocin. Cats'll do that :)

recognizing and naming it is important. Hope it works itself out soon.

I've missed you and hoped you are pretty busy lately. We're here waiting for you, Babe💙

Thornton! Long may he reign. The bird is fascinating! Also has a cute hop, which is disarming, right before it takes your arm off? I kid. Anyway, thanks Dok!

Ohhhh honey... I feel the exact same way sometimes. It really sucks. Here's hoping you feel better soon, darlin.

Thank you, my sweet friend! I just feel frightened for no reason.

Do you think RFK, Jr. sent Olivia dick pics? And then confessed in his “Mugged” diary?

I'm a fully committed, lifelong, dyed in the wool Democrat but I hope nobody gets mad if I don't get all weak in the knees over all of this Oprah horseshit. If nothing else she brought us the dual, dueling plagues of Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz.

Wookiee Monster's avatar

I’m not fan of Oprah either, but if he helps get the vote out, I’m happy to accept her help.

HuffPo: Surprise Poll Shows Colin Allred Leading Ted Cruz In Texas Senate Race

"A new poll by Morning Consult has Democrat Colin Allred one point ahead of Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate race.

It's the only recent survey that's found Allred leading Cruz in deep-red Texas, one of several states where Democrats could really use a surprise victory if they hope to maintain control of the Senate. Morning Consult found similarly strong numbers for Vice President Kamala Harris in the survey, out this week, as well as for other Democrats down the ballot.

The Allred campaign has been hyping its momentum for weeks, pointing to a few polls that show Allred trailing by only two or three points, within pollsters' margin of error. Morning Consult's poll put Allred ahead 45-44."

Best comment I've seen so far on Robinson is in the twitter thread where Robinson is ***graphically**** describing his adulterous affair with his sister-in-law.

Anyway, a commenter named @BadHumors said "The GOP selected, elected and protected Mark Robinson".

That is a great way to describe it.

VelveetaSneeze's avatar

I doubt it happened. To be clear, I don't doubt for a second that he wrote it, but it seems more a fantasy of wanting to have an affair with his wife's sister: "Right when I was really pumping the dooky chute good she shot a long hot stream of piss up in the air that covered my chest and stomach."

I've never known a woman to have the ability to shoot a stream of piss up in the air, but maybe I need to get around more.

Is there any way for the President to declare a health emergency and temporarily make abortion legal Federally? And/or some kind of executive order?

TalentNotAutotune's avatar

According to the USSC, President Biden can do anything he wants and as long as it's an "official act", there's not jack shit anyone can do about it.

LP's avatar

Except if the Republicans sue him and the SC backs the Republicans? (I'm thinking about his student loan executive orders). How does that work?

TalentNotAutotune's avatar

Good question! But it seems that OHJB could fall back on the USSC ruling, which came after the student loan orders IIRC. Anyway, that would be an interesting argument to watch.

Another rich man behaving badly has gotten away with it. Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed, owner of London's icon Harrods department store, died last year at 94. Now 20 woman have come forward accusing him of sexual assault while they were employed at Harrods.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/mohamed-al-fayed-sexual-abuse-allegations-1.7327961

Some of you may remember him as the father of Dodi Fayed, who was Princess Diana's boyfriend when they were both killed in a 1997 car crash in Paris.
