"I urge them to remember the boy who cried wolf and take a long look in the mayor before lecturing anyone about partisanship at the Justice Department."
Grassley likely intended to say "Mr. Blanche," "Democrat," and "the mirror."

I happen to know, because I was forced to for professional reasons, that the FDA's approach to food safety was fucked for many years before Trump and RFKJ came along, due to bureaucratic problems. It's complicated, but the basic issue is that there is no clear command structure.
