Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day... So you know how we told you to get your virtual butt over to www.healthcare.gov yesterday, since December 15 was the deadline to sign up for coverage beginning in January? Turns out a lot of people decided they wanted to get some of that terrible government-subsidized health insurance before Donald Trump's "terrific" and as-yet-unspecified replacement comes along, so federal regulators have
Keep in mind that for years now all they've needed to do was rubberstamp everything Bu... sorry, Cheney handed them, and then screech 'No' at anything a Dem put together. They've never had to do any actual work.
I have an old copy of Final Cut Pro on this thing somewhere. Might be amusing to record the SOTU address but replace the sound track with clown music and fart noises. I can see it going viral.
My condolences for your situation. I was unemployed for six months until I got my current job a little over a month ago. At least I got unemployment benefits, but it's barely enough to just survive on.
we're hearing whispered republican pushback - like leaving it all in place thru 18 on a technicality and THEN they'll reveal the magic plan (there is no magic plan) and then it will be '18 amd everyone will have forgotten they hated ACA and we'll have new elections and issues.
what we need (as a country) is something this january that will serve as a totem sacrifice to the moran's in this country and doesn't gut the ACA.
Health care and Social Security will be downsized. We can expect major cuts in 2017 and 2018. The only question is: what will be the "talking points" to blame Obama?
Hmmm... are the premiums guaranteed, so that you pay the same even if you land a six-figure salary this July? If it's important for things to look especially grim in mid-November, self-employed folks might to arrange their business accordingly.
Aren't they scheming to "repeal" it, so they can pretend to be heroes to the teabaggers and Trumpanzees, but not have the shit actually hit the fan until after the 2018 mid-term elections?Given their deplorable audience, today's GOPtard Congresscretins actually take pride in being transparently sleazy and duplicitious.
As much as I'd love to land a six figure salary, that's vanishingly unlikely. If I do get any permanent job, then I'd transition on to the company policy. The only penalty I'd get is I'd have to pay the subsidy I received back but that can even be minimized by having an additional amount withheld in my end of year paycheck. You can always do that with your HR department by filing an additional W-4.
I can draw unemployment and I'll transition onto Denver Medicaid, which I've had before. But as a single person, I don't qualify for food stamps, so that sucks. Rents are also high in Denver, so yeah, there won't be much left after I pay rent.
That sort of stupidity/ignorance doesn't seem quite as funny as it used to.

Fudd's Third Law: If you dig a deep enough hole, everybody'll want to jump into it.

ACA is my fight. hope everyone has one.
that's what we're hearing too (and is it's my job, my ear is to the ground)
I'm half expecting the Dems to start naming bills to feed his ego, like the make America great again $15/h minimum wage bill.
My Anthem Georgia "OBAMACARE" policy went up 0% next year.
Gee thanks, Obama.https://media0.giphy.com/me...
Premiums in NYS are through the roof . . . I went for cheap premiums and scary deductibles. I'll come out ahead, if I don't get hit by a bus.
