I don't know who came up with this scheme (Pelosi mostly) but it is such great politics. All these goodies sunset in 2022, the child tax credits, childcare, family leave. Not sure about the Obamacare revisions. But people are gonna be like "Noooo, don't take away what has lifted us up" and then the Dems will be like "To keep these things we will have to raise taxes on the rich and corporations" and the people will be like "Do it" and the GOP will be like "dr Seuss"
I'd post a pic of my daughter when she was a wee one, laughing her ass off and eating the fluff from a pillow while tied down with truck straps, but I don't want the pic to come back to bite me in the ass if I ever become famous/run for office/want to work in childcare. I think that was still acceptable child rearing in the '90s.
This happened to my brother long ago. My dad was sharing the lift and caught him by the jacket. It was a long way to the top so Dad dropped him about 12 feet into a pile of fluffy snow.
Everyone was fine and we all skied for the rest of the day.
So uhh, can we now start paying school teachers like the ridiculously educated professionals they are, since we’re officially in agreement that their current salaries are adequate for day care providers who don’t necessarily even need to have graduated high school?
