The study is clearly flawed. Most of them countries can't even speak English. And as for "problem-solving in a technology-rich environment", we are easily the best at making the boss think we're working when we're actually watching porn.

When your government is run by a bunch of predominantly Ivy League lawyers with money, it's in their interest in their constituency being far less educated. If you can use religion, so much the better - that generates paralysing fear.
