"...he was carrying two pistols, a taser, and brass knuckles, as one does when attending a fair in Ohio, where they love that shit."
Um, no, most of us don't love that shit, especially in the cities and in the northern half of the state, where Dr. Acton was speaking. It's not nice to tar us all with the same brush.
I guess we have to give Patrick Havas something for his cinematic tastes. It's not like he got caught trying to shoplift a copy of "Ernest Goes to Camp."
"Dr. Action"? That sounds like a nickname that could stick, especially after the whole "immediately rendering care, not letting up until paramedics arrived" thing.
"Andrew Havas was originally charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor assault and served jail time."
That should never, ever happen. How is that justice for the minor? Our legal system has so many glaring flaws that I hope will be rectified at the end of all this fuckery.
Looking at you statute of limitations on crimes. What the fuck does it say about a society with laws that if you molest a child, rape or steal but if you can get away with it long enough you actually do get away with it?
Or every time some one said of the thing some one did 'it's morally reprehensible and unethical but not illegal'.
There is a lot more that needs reform such as poverty resulting in an entirely different legal system for the poor. The way the rich use the courts to get their own way via dragging shit out forever and so much more I'd be here all day and my face would have flames at the side of it.
An armed guy barrels through a crowd toward a candidate carrying two pistols, a Taser and brass knuckles, and Laura Loomer’s first instinct is apparently, “Obviously the woman staged this.” Of course. Why burden yourself with an investigation when your ass already contains a complete forensic laboratory? The attacker’s brother having Republican political connections is interesting, not proof of a conspiracy. Loomer declaring it fake before the facts are in is not skepticism. It’s fan fiction with a Wi-Fi connection.
I think running against an out of touch billionaire while people are having to go to food pantries so they can put a little gas in their car should also help her.
Just a couple notes on the legal aspects. Ohio allows concealed carry without permits - they passed that a couple years ago. Now the brother's charge, that's a little dicey - age range in that demographic (for stagatory r*pe law) is 7 years (or at least it was when I was that cohort) so it's on the edge of legality. Outside of the 7 year age gap consent does not matter, it;s r*pe. He musta' had a good lawyer
Vivek Ramasmarmy is an absolute moron.
SHE MADE ME DO IT!
is -- we assume -- the basis of the Not Guilty plea.

Nice titular allusion, Dok. Who directed the referenced film. Anyone?
Dr. Acton action dolls would be a great idea right now.
Be sure to offer the "Dr. Acton Action First Aid Kit"
It beggars belief that MAGA racists will vote for Ramaswamy.
Would love Dr Action to use this bump opportunity to embrace trans folk or at least walk back her garbage take. Super heroes are for EVERYONE!

Quite a contrast between Dr. Acton stopping to help people and people like Dr. Cassidy (R) voting to confirm an obvious lunatic like Kennedy.

Just a note that Amy Acton hates trans people.

Alex Pretti didn't unholster his weapon. ICE did it for him. Then they shot him.
