I was in similar positions quite often as a child. I never had to defend myself the way you did, but I recall being very uncomfortable, often, when I went with my mother to the pantry.

I like Christianity (specifically Jesus's teachings, cool guy). Lots of Christians are nice people too. WATCH ME NOT BE BANNED FOR THIS COMMENT.

P.S. I am super liberal, pro-choice people are actually anti-women, I love the gays (well I haven't met them all, but on the whole lovely people), etc. etc. Super excited to hear people say I can't hold these beliefs and be a "real Christian" as they wear mixed fabrics, don't forgive, and eat pork.

"Go ahead and support the liberals and this country will be like the Soviet Union was in the 50’s and 60’s. Everyone starving, country broke, no hope."

That's the problem with the GOPtards - they don't know whose boot is on their necks.

About 25% of the voting public identifies as Republican. Donald Trump is getting about 33% of that vote, which translates to around 8% of voters. Or about the same as the number of people who believe that the Apollo moon landings were faked. The Trump campaign is generating a lot of noise but this is hardly a groundswell.

Trump's candidacy is the only attention-grabbing thing coming out of the Republican nomination race so far, so it is generating a lot of press. But noise in January is not the same as votes on election day. Exit polling from the last few elections showed that the great majority (something like 80% as I recall) of Republican voters didn't make up their minds about who to vote for until the final week before the primary or caucus. Trump is getting the largest plurality (not even close to a majority, though) of poll respondents who were willing to state a preference, but this number is only a small slice of the total number of Republican voters. And self-identified Republicans only account for 25% of the electorate, so his share of all voters is microscopic as far as anyone can tell. It's all just smoke and mirrors, folks. But if you knew anything about Donald Joseph Trump, you would have understood that already.

The MSM makes much of Trump's support because it is the only story they have right now. Or actually, it's the only story that they will report right now. We keep seeing tons of stuff about the Trumpster, even though he is only drawing a tiny sliver of support among voters. But we can search the pages and airwaves in vain for any peep about the hundreds of thousands of people who have turned out for Bernie Sanders campaign rallies, or about the millions of ordinary citizens (all non-PAC) who have donated to the campaign. At this point it is starting to resemble a news blackout. Why is that, I wonder? Any guesses? Is Bernie being blacklisted by the MSM? Perhaps not, but then what's the dealio, Chuck?
