Wow. Trump combined three whoppers in one sentence. It’s a triple Tropper!

Ok, who had “Trump accuses immigrants of dog eating” on their bingo card?

'“But when you speak to experts, they said there was no chance that he could have missed from that distance,” he said.'

Actual experts, clear-eyed and free of tears, differ on this.

I only qualified as a "Marksman" in the Army, the lowest qualifying level. They TRAINED us to shoot assault weapons (M-16), and yeah, Don, there is EVERY chance to miss, especially as the guy was hurried by the prospect of police intervention.

Remember when Jimmy Carter lost an election after talking about a national "malaise"? Meanwhile, Donold goes on about what a sick, sick nation we are.

Jimmy suggested we as a nation, "We the People," suffered from a "malaise." He was telling us to pull our socks up.

As Hitler discovered, if you locate the sickness in only one sector of the population, well, you can sell that to people. Trump is telling his people to sock others and fuck them up.

He's got the "whole Sir" in his hands. And God says, damn he's heavy.

"He's got the "whole Sir" in his hands."

That can happen when changing a baby if you're not careful.

I guess an assassination attempt at a rally where the speaker would be guaranteed to remain stationary at a fixed point would be similar to a canned hunt.

Maybe those Chump boys might have some input after all.

“Our country is so sick and it’s so broken. Our country is just broken."

`

So, if I'm to understand this...

An all-knowing, all-powerful god who personally intervened to save one elderly sociopath cannot be bothered to help a "sick, broken" country with 330 million people in it?

Was he on summer vacation?

I've always wondered about angels. They're always presented as God's errand boys. Why does an omnipotent being need helpers?

Especially when half those helpers suddenly rebelled and really fucked things up.

It galls me how the GOP, the party that handed every nut a gun, the party that says the best government is no government, holds the Federal government 100% responsible for Trump's safety in a gun humper's paradise like rural PA. Trump's judges also say the shooter could have had a bump stock, or a machine gun, or his 2A rights have been totally violated. But it's all Biden's fault, wah, wah.

Oh, great.

Now he's reduced to babbling *religious* talking points.

That's a full Bob Roberts, and you NEVER go full Bob Roberts.

"they said there was no chance that he could have missed from that distance,” he said."

`

Maybe the experts in his head said that, but if you Google it, the shooter was approximately 400-500 feet away from the stage, so... about one and a half football fields.

No chance of missing from a distance of 500 feet?

You'd have to be a dumbbell or a crackhead to think that.

It's a well-known fact that an AR-15 gives one the ability to perform like a Hollywood movie sniper with absolutely no training.

Ipso facto, reductio ad absurdum, et cum spiritu tuo, Act o' God.

I just got an email from a friend who is in her 90s. She told me she was changing her party preference from Democratic to Republican because she prefers Trump's "policies". Okay, she's quite old and watches way too much Fox News, but that's no excuse for not figuring out that Trump has no "thoughts" of his own that don't involve self-glorification, and that he doesn't give a damn about policy. He leaves that to the human garbage enablers around him. Still, it's depressing that someone who has lived that long can't see the difference between a real human being and a poorly programmed automaton who will do anything if someone tells him it will make him look stronger or get people to admire him.

I was half expecting Trump to ramble into "I don't know why people like religion. What's in it for them?".

Maybe that it took God 7 days to create the Earth, and Trump could have done it in 1.

If anything, he's jealous of how long they've been fleecing the rubes, and doing it tax-free.

As an Old, I watch regular television with commercials. See a lot for St Jude's. There is one where a kid has brain cancer at 5 and St Jude's cures him. Now he is 11 and is there for a scan to confirm that he is still cancer free in his brain, which he is. But they discover he has cancer in his throat now. So believers want me to accept that gawd gave a kid cancer twice, or at least didn't protect him from it, but saved a massive piece of shit like Trump from death? That is not a gawd I want anything to do with.
